Vicar Writes: Milestones

I want to thank all who attended the EOGM last Sunday. Thus far, I am encouraged by all who are doing their due diligence and working hard at ensuring that this project is being managed well. We appreciate the hard work put in by the Tender Committee, chaired by Emerson Foo and our Project Director, Stephen Chan.

We also praise the Lord for another milestone reached as we gathered yesterday for the simple Groundbreaking Service.

We still have about another 5 million to be raised. Please prayerfully consider how you can contribute to this project at this stage. The coming Parish Thanksgiving Dinner is another exciting community event.

Let’s keep up the prayer focus. The development of the physical building is inextricably bound to our church and spiritual growth. The next Church@prayer (Tues, 20th Oct) will be focused on the project.

The SJCK annual concert is being held this weekend. Do keep Pas Richard, Jackie, Bernice and their team of teachers in your prayers as they work hard at organizing this event well that it may bring glory to the Lord.

Andrew and Diana are settling in well. We chatted with them over Skype and it is good to hear from them. They are working hard at their language learning. They are staying in a small apartment in the heart of Bangkok and within walking distance of Christchurch. Inserted here is a photo of the commissioning as some of you were not at that Service on Sept 20th.

Plans are underway for our annual Camp next year. It will be held in Renaissance Hotel, Melaka on 14th-17th of June. More details will be released soon.
