Of Faith, Hope & Love
Right at the onset of the project, I have said our fund-raising is not just about meeting targets. The ‘journey’ is also important, especially doing it in a way that pleases the Lord. For example, I have said we should never give out of peer pressure or to please another person….
Vicar Writes 1st Nov
We had a combined staff retreat last week. I think it’s a first for us in SJC. We had a mix of heart-to-heart sharing sessions, worship, sharing of the Word and of course, chatting, playing and eating together. Many have remarked that this was the ‘best they have ever attended.’ It did bring us closer together as new bonds were formed and old barriers broken down. I don’t think our relationships and ministry as a staff will remain the same after this.
