Vicar Writes 19th/ 20th Mar

Clown of the momentWe are grateful to those who have served and contributed to make the latest SJCK Carnival a huge success. The array of home-cooked food was impressive and made the carnival unique.

A member commented: “I really enjoyed the family carnival today. It never fails to amaze me how the church is SO involved with the kindergarten. Although I didn't have any part in helping out, I feel kind of proud to be in a church that is involved with what her "arm" or "leg" is doing. The same people will be doing this all day today and still be helping out in Super Powerkids tomorrow. This kind of dedication is heartwarming.”

Praise the Lord and may we continue to be involved in the various avenues in SJCK to befriend and reach-out to the parents and kids. What will future carnivals be like when we move back to Leedon? We will see.

In the earlier part of last week, JYM ran an Adventure Camp for the recent JYMers who joined in from SPK. We appreciate the efforts JYM is putting in to help integrate these young JYMers.

Preparations are underway for our next Parish event: the Combined Easter Service and Fund-raising Lunch at Safra Jurong. Every fund-raising event is a milestone and focuses our efforts as we seek to raise the remaining of the 2 million to reach our target.
