Lent Morning Prayer

posted 07.02.2018

Every Wednesday 7.45AM
Begins 14 February

Morning Prayer is one of the two Daily Offices in the Anglican Tradition. The Daily Office is a pattern for prayer that Christians have followed for centuries. These worship services are accompanied by the reading of God’s Word and a time to pray for the Church, the world, and those within the community. Anglican theologian and writer J.I. Packer says, “None of us will ever find a better pattern for private prayer and Bible-reading anywhere that that offered by the Prayer Book’s own daily offices.”

Even today, people find that praying the Daily Office helps add a sense of regularity and balance to their prayer life. The time of worship, Word and prayer can help center us before we begin our work day.

This Lent Season, all are invited to join us for Morning Prayer in the Chapel on Wednesday mornings at 7.45AM.
