CF Course : Bible Exposition on Acts

posted 26.06.2018

Date: July 28, August 4, 11, 18 & 25 (5 Saturdays)
Time: 10am-12:30pm
Venue: Chapel (Level 2)
Course Instructor : Revd Peter Chen

We often look back to the Church and Christian experience in the first century either as the norm to be restored or the ideal to aspire to. But the Book of Acts is written as narrative; Luke’s description of what happened then was not meant to be prescriptive.

However, there are important lessons and principles in the book on what it means for us to live as Spirit-empowered witnesses even in an environment hostile to Christianity. The course will look at the key themes in Acts and answer some of the questions Christians often ask:

Do I need to share all my possessions with the needy in God’s community?
Is speaking in tongues the evidence that I have the Holy Spirit?
What does it mean for me to be a witness? Where is my Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria?
Am I expected to bring the gospel to the ‘ends of the world’?
