From Vision to Mission to Outreach!

Thank God for His leading as I articulated the vision God has deposited into me and the leaders in October 2015. As a Crossroad Church of Spirit-empowered disciples we embrace the mission Dei, the mission of God’s heart that none shall perish but all shall come to the saving knowledge in Jesus! By God’s leading, we will revisit the vision He gave as we flesh out details and programmes. I see God’s faithfulness and am excited to say that He is assembling His team to advance His own kingdom as we are obedient to His leading. I will share more in the coming weeks.

November was a busy month with a plethora of activities highlighting our engagement in missions work, both locally and abroad. I like to personally thank Maggie and her team of dedicated staff and members who planned and executed many exciting activities; including the very successful inaugural Java Jam 2015. Guests and members alike were very blessed and many asked “Is this going to be an annual event?” All glory to God and we will let Him lead us in the 2016 plans.

I am pleased to say, as of last week, the collections totalled $158,155.10. The Dean of Nepal, Revd Lewis, who spoke last Sunday was moved when he saw members coming forward to present their “Give Him A Hundred” offerings. Do continue to give sacrificially and support our various mission endeavours. A breakdown of the Nov 2015 collections is below:

Diocese of Singapore Mission Board $ 8,960.20
Deanery of Nepal $ 38,492.00
Give Him A Hundred $ 61,434.40
Lat Krabang Building Fund $ 9,320.50
Retire Lazarus $ 15,556.00
The New Charis Mission $ 24,392.00
Total $ 158,155.10

Advent is upon us; we are reminded of the Lord’s imminent return and with it the urgent need to preach the Gospel. Be in prayer for our speaker Revd Timothy Ewing-Chow as He waits upon the Lord. May the Holy Spirit open doors for our invitation to loved ones, friends, colleagues and also the strangers He has prepared and put into our path. Blessed Advent 2015!
